This article shows a technique to make a posture brace at home involving just a strap. This can be done on an experimental basis just to check how a good posture is supposed to feel.<\/p>\n<p>Requirement: 2 to 3-meter strap (yoga strap or two men&#8217;s ties knotted together will also do, I am using a strap from a karate uniform)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Place the strap over your upper back and hold the ends in each hand (as if you are measuring your chest)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-front-view.jpg\"><br \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1865\" src=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step1.jpg\" alt=\"posture brace step 1\" width=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step1.jpg 360w, https:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step1-75x100.jpg 75w, https:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step2.jpg\"><br \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step3.jpg\"><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Drape each end of the strap over its respective shoulder (do not cross the strap in front of your body)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step2.jpg\" alt=\"posture brace step 2\" width=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. Cross the strap in the back holding one end in each hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/pranayoga.co.in\/asana\/wp-content\/uploads\/posture-brace-step3.jpg\" alt=\"posture brace step 3\" width=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Pull the straps slightly in such a way that you feel a little pull in your trapezius muscles in your upper back area near your neck. Your shoulder blades will also be pulled in slightly (they will come closer). Notice how different it feels to walk when you are aligned this way. You will feel lightness in your body and feet.<br \/>This is just a preview of how a good posture is meant to feel.
